Katy Perry and the Desperate Attempt For Relevancy

Well, well, well. If it isn't Katy, Queen of Cultural Irrelevancy. So here is the story: KP has never won a Grammy, a MTV VMA and her second album (although peaking at number 1) only shifted 192,000 units in it's first week in the US. * Brandishes the 1,100,000 Born This Way sales reciepts.*  So what else can Katy do to add something to her non-existent legacy?

And there it is. She could use Dr Luke's recycled beats to create number ones in the USA, created by heavy radio airplay (yes, we are suspicious too). This being a desperate attempt for something to create some form of legacy due to her current immateriality.

Verdict? Woeful. Not much you can do with a shit song like "Last Friday Night" but the Dr. Luke production from his entire catalogue (made up of 5 beats which he CTRL-C's, CTRL-P's at every opportunity) sounds identical to that of Britney Spears' Seal It With A Kiss which in turn sounds like the rest of the mediocre to crap album. This essentially marks the downfall of the music industry if it peaks at number 1.

THE END.
