Lady Gaga and the You and I video

Admist the leak of some video stills and forums and twitter timelines blowing up, Lady Gaga tweeted three words; "Fuck", "Thurs" and "day". Two hours later, the bizarre Edward Scissor Hand like video was uploaded to her official YouTube account. Read on to hear our opinions and watch the video!

The Edge of Glory: one of the best songs to be released in recent years. Despite the lack of a patronising self acceptance message or complex biblical metaphors, it stands strong proving to be one of biggest tracks on her new album. And then came the video...

With our standards successfully lowered after the travesty that was The Edge of Glory, we now have faith that our home-gurl can still make a music video.

Starting off with shots of her bloody feet, the video progresses into some ludicrous spectacle with strong imagery and a spot of drag in this Frankeinstein based film.

You and I happily fits in with Lady GaGa's best videos, easily beating off competition from her earlier videos this era. It hardly comes close to that of Bad Romance or Telephone but we are happy to blame that on the absence of a real director like Ray Kay, Francis Lawerance or our personal favourite, Joseph Awkerland. Regardless, this video proves to be enjoyable and light hearted (watch the clips of her belting around the corn field) and a valiant effort from Gaga.

Verdict: This video is no Bad Romance but rest assured, VMA nods are to be expected.
